This is followed by the surgical placement of the implant into the jawbone. After surgery, a healing period allows the implant to integrate with the bone, which may take several months. Next, an abutment is attached to the implant once healing is complete. The final step is placing a custom-made crown on the abutment, finishing the restoration, and giving you a seamless, natural-looking smile.
