Perry Family Dentistry is a member of and endorsed by the following organizations and companies:

  • (ADA) American Dental Association - America's leading advocate for oral health 
  • Washington State Board of Denturists-consists of seven members appointed by the Secretary. Membership is as follows: four practicing denturists, two persons who are not affiliated with any health care profession or facility, at least one of whom must be over sixty-five years of age representing the elderly and a practicing dentist.

    Dr. Perry is serving as the only representative dentist in state of Washington.
    The board meets about four times a year. We usually schedule meetings on a Friday in January, April, July and November. The board is expected to protect the health and safety of the public. It helps ensure denturists are competent and provide quality health care.

  • (WSDA) Washington State Dental Association - Maintains a powerful presence in the Legislature, sets ethical standards for the profession, develops and supports services for those lacking oral health care, and demands lifelong learning to perpetuate professional excellence.
  • (AGD) Academy of General Dentistry - Works to promote the oral health of the public, and to foster continued proficiency of general dentists through quality continuing dental education in order to better serve the public.
  • (ICOI) International Congeress of Oral Implantology - Devoted to providing implant education to the entire dental team to better serve its patients, the ICOI is not only the world’s largest dental implant organization, but it is also the world’s largest provider of continuing dental implant education.

Dr. Blake J Perry, D.D.S.

Dentist

Dr. Perry is leading this family clinic in the right direction.  He has developed a vision by putting his emphasis on your unique concerns.
 
"Compassion based dentistry" is this vision.  It holds that dentistry helps in many ways unique to each person.  By exceptional communication with time to recognize each person, he has helped many in the community gain better health and happiness.
 
His background is varied.  He graduated from the University of Iowa and was recognized by scholarships and clinical superiority.  He is remarkably gifted.  He also served in the US Air Force, Wisconsin Air National Guard as an Air Sovereignty F-16C fighter pilot.  He is currently a Air Force Reserve Captain and carries his experiences with him as tremendous assets to his leadership and clarity of purpose.  His purpose is YOU!  And this is immediately apparent when you meet him.  He will respectfully listen and compassionately care for your unique concerns.  Read more...

Rich Gibson, R.D.H.

Registered Dental Hygienist

Born in Florida, Rich is 4 minutes older than his twin brother, Ron. He attended the University of South Florida and received his degree in Bio-Chemistry in 1983. After working in the chemical and human resources industry for many years he returned to St. Petersburg College to complete his Dental Hygiene degree in 1999. Having worked in cosmetic, periodontal and general practices for over 10 years, Rich started with Dr. Perry in February 2009 after moving to Whidbey Island. His focus is to make sure every patient gets 110% out of their dental hygiene visit.

Rich has completed over 25 marathons and looks forward to exploring the many ecosystems in the Northwest.

 

 

Susan Athearn, R.D.A.

Clinical Manager

A graduate of Burlington-Edison High School, her interest in the dental field took her to Bellingham Technical College where she graduated in 1989.

Susan has been with the practice since 1990 and has been part of some patients lives from childhood to adult and has even seen their children as patients in the practice.

Toni Boersma

Patient Care Coordinator

Toni has participated in the dental field for 15 years. She is now the newest member of our team- joining on with Perry Family Dentistry in late April 2010.

Toni graduated from Snohomish High School and continues to reside in the area with her family. She enjoys spending time with her family, as well as boating, hiking, traveling, and reading.

Ashley Anderson

Clinical Partner

Ashley grew up in Tacoma and graduated from Clover Park Tech in 2007. She moved to the area in September of 2009 and started with this practice in March of 2010.

Ashley enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and knitting.

Charlene

 
Hygienist

Charlene grew up in Edmonds and moved to Marysville in November of 2009. She has been in the dental field for 6 years and recently graduated from Shoreline Community College with her Dental Hygiene Degree. As a young Hygienist she is very caring and passionate about providing quality care for her patient's health and well being. In her free time Charlene likes to play volleyball, take her dog for a walk, spend time with family and friends, and of course brush her teeth 3 times per day, floss daily and use fluoridated mouth washes
